Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neuro developmental disability which usually appears in a child by the age of three.Characteristics:1. Impairments in -Verbal and non verbal communication2. Impairments in Reciprocal Social Interaction3. Restrictive and Repetitive Patterns of Behaviour Interests and Action.Early diagnosis and intensive intervention in optimal educational settings can have a significant, positive and lasting impact on children with autism.Moonflower Autism Foundation was formed by a group of parents of individuals with autism and professionals on 23 December, 2022.Activities1. Rehabilitation and Empowerment of individuals with autism.5. Teachers and parents Training & Counseling.4. Awareness raising program.5. Special Support for underprivileged NDD Children6. Inclusion in Mainstream School7. Occupational & Sensory Integration Therapy8. Speech and Language Therapy9. Student Sponsorship10. Home Rehabilitation Program11. Respite care and Day Care services12. Seminar, Workshop and Conference13. Networking with national and international organization working with autism.14. Peer Group Activity and Self AdvocacyThe Executive Members and General Members of this Foundation have been playing significant role in autism field in this country since 2000.Foundation is operating a well-equipped structured and methodical education and training centre called Moonflower School for autism.
